Meet the partners
Philip has been Senior Partner at Calders since March 2000. Philip trained with Calders in the late 1970s and following qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 1982 he left to gain experience in a larger accountancy practice for a couple of years before returning to Calders as a Partner in 1985.
Like all Calders’ Partners, he is a general practitioner looking after the needs of a large and wide range of business and personal clients. He is also qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.
David trained at Calders before moving to BDO in the mid 1980s returning as a Partner in 1987. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2000. He looks after a large and varied range of corporate and personal clients of all sizes providing audit, accounting, VAT, corporate and personal tax advice and other related financial services.
His passions outside work include playing competitive golf and watching football and as a season ticket holder can be found most other weekends at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
Tony joined Calders in 1996 after qualifying with a small sized firm and was appointed Partner in 2002. He is a general practitioner acting for a variety of personal and corporate clients. He is the firm’s audit and DPB business compliance principal/partner. Tony is a personable and approachable member of the Calders’ team who enjoys a professional and friendly relationship with his clients.
His main interests outside work include travel, is a self-proclaimed film buff, enjoys live music and is a keen follower of most sports.
Jenni joined Calders in 2006 as a part qualified accountant, working primarily alongside Ian. Since then she has completed her training with the ACCA, been admitted as a member of the ICAEW and qualified as a chartered tax advisor. Having built a solid foundation of experience across a broad range of sectors and a number of strong client relationships, Jenni was appointed a partner in 2017. In addition to being a general practitioner, she has a particular specialism in online accounting software and provides training, advice and support to clients looking to implement these systems.
Alex started his training at Calders in 2000, after passing his final exams in 2004 he took a year away to travel the world and work for a large international company. After relocating to Brighton, he joined a local firm in 2013 where he specialised in the tech-sector. He has now returned to London and to Calders as a partner. With over 20yrs of experience working with different sized companies he can offer a variety of services and advice. He is also a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor. Alex has a passion for football and cricket, he also enjoys running, cycling, travelling and trying new foods.
Vaishali joined Calders in 2012 after qualifying with a small Kent based firm. Since joining, she has predominantly worked alongside Ian whilst also studying and completed an MBA in Investment Banking. Vaishali was appointed a partner in 2020 having gained a wide range of experience across all accounting sectors. Although, like her partners, she is a general practitioner her extensive mathematical background has allowed her to develop an interest and specialise in structuring and business valuation. Outside of work, she is a keen traveller and enjoys visiting historical cities.
